Hi,
Been amazing the tourney from the moment it was announced, the 40 days has been full of entrainment and the stadiums were jam packed.Its now to the semi's and Delhi Daredevils were thrashed by Rajasthan Royals with Shane Watson being adjudged the man of the match.Boy he's in the trashing gear with superb all round display.

Today, Chennai Superkings face Kings XI Punjab in one of the fiercest encounters which pits India'sk skipper and his deputy against each other.

For me,though would love to see CSK win but on paper KXIP are the winners.They had a wonderful tournament so far and has enjoyed all round display.

KINGS XI PUNJAB
A well knit team which is strong in every department.

BOWLING
Sreesanth and Pathan upfront have been splendid with able backing by Romesh Powar and Piyush Chawla with VRV Singh completing the pack of bowlers it is the best.Very difficult to score against them , CSK have to pull up their sock to match them.

BATTING
Marsh has been a revelation playing some incredible cricket with Sangakara and Jayawardane supporting him, it has been a horrid time for the bowlers with the skipper Yuvraj coming next.Rock solid with this team Preity can very well keep smiling.

CHENNAI SUPER KINGS
A team placed at the top of FAIR PLAY and has some incredible match winners.

BOWLING
The man at the moment is Goni and he has to pick early wickets to put brakes on them, with Morkel,Ntni,Murali and Balaji hoping to see a gritty display.

BATTING
If the openers fire then there are no problems for CSK but they have to, 'll they?
In the absence of Stephen Fleming it is Vidyut and P Patel who are going to open mostly.With Raina, Dhoni ,Morkel and Badri it is quite formidable.

The time for which all the students long for is here for me and am loving it.
Still its next only to impossible for me to go out because of the heat and humidity here.Man its really hot.
One of the main things i do is to play FIFA'08.Its cool but I could just play for 1 season as manager there, when the next season begins it closes itself automatically.I have began playing Co-op season where-in for the entire game you'll be controlling only 1 player.I have created a forward and playing.So far so good, its been a smooth sailing.Lets see what comes from it.
Between also take time to catch up with the football news and take some time for reading novels.

With IPL in progress, evenings are quite busy watching them, btw some are intresting while the rest are quite one-sided.My favourite team is CSK (Chennai Super Kings) and am hoping they come successful.

EURO '08 is awaiting us all.Going to kick-off on 7th June.I can't wait to hear the referee's whistle to kick-off.
Switzerland take on Czech Republic on the first game of Euro '08.Check on the fixtures here.
Group C is being dubbed the Group of Deaths with Netherlands,France and Italy alongside Romania vying for 2 places.This will certainly be interesting with the speculation rife that Thierry Henry playing the last tourney for his country.He would hope to end his national carrier at a high after having not so great time at Barca.
World Champions Italy have their own problems with qualifying at the last moment for EURO.
Biggest disaster was England not qualifying....Could you believe it?Team with many stars!!

Back after holidaying, out of all hassles of city life.I had taken a book from my friend If Tomorrow Comes by Sidney Sheldon to while away my time and it proved to be cool.
The starting was a bit rusty ,thought of stop reading it but man you need patience, the rest was great.
Story :
This is about TW (Tracy Whitley) on how she goes about her problems in life which erupts after her mother is forced to commit suicide.
TW is employed in a bank and goes about doing her job perfectly.She dates one influential person in the community and they decide to marry.Till then all is good,suddenly her mom commits suicide.When she begins to know the reason for which she commits suicide is the rest of the plot.This completely changes her life, she is sent to prison for charges of trying to commit murder.How she avenges her mother's killers and her detractors and what she ekes out a living is the story.

A brilliant one,especially some of the sequences where she eludes the police (oops! am telling a part of the story) is fascinating.

A must read for all Sidney Sheldon fans although this ain't SS best novel.Keep reading the books,if you find anything fascinating do tell me.

The most dumbest thing to have happened at Chelsea.

I felt very bad when I got the news about the sacking of Chelsea's head coach.

He took charge from Mourinho who had established himself over the years at Chelsea bringing them trophies they would have only dreamt of.To replace such a person who had players on his side and openly questioned Grant's position to lose out of EPL in the final day and take the team to first European Cup final is something extra-ordinary.

Although the team was built by his predecessor it was Grant who marshaled them when their chips were down after sacking of Mourinho and made great strides.Hats off to the man who spoke little and rather concentrated on the field. Here was the man who came from Portsmouth only last summer with no mandatory qualification as a coach being made the manager of one of the best clubs in Europe with players revolting and expressing their displeasure in the open and threatening to quit the club.

Am not a fan of Chelsea, but still the impact made by him at Chelsea was astounding.Kudos!!

Frank Rijkaard, former Barcelona manager who was sacked last month is the front runner along with Gus Hiddinck, Russia coach well known for coaching South Korea to a knockout stages in the 2002 World Cup.

But all said and done, Chelsea owner Roman Abrhamovich needs to give his manager time.Ge can't expect things to happen overnight.

Time and again this season there has been constant rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo moving out of Man U to Real Madrid.There has been however no doubts in Man U about him leaving.

However, the player concerned Ronaldo himself has maintained stoic silence on this issue. It is to be noted that Ronaldo's mother wants her son to play at Madrid and this has been a talking point since last season.

Gabriel Heinze, former Man U player moved to Madrid last season had stated that it would be impossible for anyone to prize out Ronaldo from Man U under Fergie's leadership.But, both Real Madrid president and coach have repeatedly shown interest in Ronaldo and are desperate to have him on their side.Also Real Madrid were disastrous in this year's Champion's League and would hope to excel next year.

The main reason which would help United to retain their star player is that after 2006 world cup where Ronney and Ronaldo had a verbal duel, Ronaldo wanted to leave Man U fearing supporters wrath. However, Fergie went to Portugal and had a meeting and made sure Ronaldo felt at home at United and also Fergie's constant motivation that made Ronaldo reach the heights he is at form. This was acknowledged by Ronaldo himself.But now,Rooney and Ronaldo are best of pals and are instrumental in most of the goals scored along with Tevez.

MANCHESTER UNITED are the champions of Europe for the 3rd time and second under Sir Fergie winning the Champions League finals at Moscow

It went all to the wire, man brilliant performance by both teams, they were neck in neck.

FIRST HALF :
Man U were off to a flyer, dominated it till the 40th minute. A start like this was all MAN U fans expected with a header from Ronaldo in the 26th minute opening the account for MAN U. There were many chances though which could have easily made it 3-0.But it wasn't so, Chelsea scored a rather cheeky goal at the 45th minute, thanks to double deflection from the MAN U defence.
MAN U were strong though Chelsea showed resilience at the end of the first half.

SECOND HALF :
If 1st half went to MAN U , it was Chelsea in the second half. They dominated it completely and were trying to find a winner. Drogba was unlucky to have found the framework beating Van Der Sar by a mile. Man U goalie didn't have very good game until the sudden death where his experience came to play THE VITAL PART of the game.There were a few chance hat went begging for both the teams.
It was 1-1.

EXTRA TIME :
Their were excellent football but the main turning point was the sending off of Drogba at the end of the 2nd extra time.He was sent off after slapping Vidic, who had a perfect day.

PENALTY SHOOTOUT :
A great time, great game to be decided by the shootout.
It was 4-4 in the shootout with Cech saving Ronaldo's shootout and skipper John Terry striking wide of the post.
A very tense moment for Man U fans had Terry scored they would have won.Terry had earlier saved a goal of Giggs in which Cech stepped out.

The times were match after match is a final, here is the finals of the final the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE showdown at the Luzhniki stadium in Russia. Between the two English sides which competed till the last match in the Premiership Man U and Chelsea.

Manchester United :

Whom to choose and whom not to is the problem, am not talking about the main team but for the subs itself is the major headache for manager Sir Alex Ferguson who had problems to fill his team last season for semi’s against AC Milan, which they lost.

With the summer signings proving a great success, Man U are well on their way to a double.

Chelsea :

Who would have predicted that Chelsea would have come this far? You certainly not me. A great comeback from the team which was out of contention of the Premiership to drag the title race well to the last day of the Premiership deserves special appreciation.

But with the likes of skipper Terry and Drogba whose participation in doubts, it requires the team to play something extraordinary.

With Ballack, Lampard in its ranks it shouldn’t be difficult for the team which has reaches its 1^st final appearance in the Champions League.

Watch out folks, as the final gets started tomorrow from 11.30 pm tomorrow.

IT’S GOING TO BE A THRILLER

I am in my hols and am back with my best hobby - reading books.I last read Malgudi Days (only now didn't have a chance before) by India's best known author R K Narayan.
This is the story about Swaminathan and his friends in a imaginary town Malgudi in Madras Presidency.I was thrilled in getting this book to read as it had evaded far long.I still remember we had an extract of the novel in our textbook and after reading it I felt inclined to read it.
I started with lot of hope and anxiety of how this book would be as it has it well known.

It was like a story straight from one's life, so original that we can always connect yourselves with Swami and recall your own childhood.

TAIL
Swami is an average boy who is attracted by a new boy to the class Rajam, son of Police Superintendent who first makes Mani (Swami's best friend) is enemy.As days pass by they become close friends and Swami is labelled by his classmates as a TAIL to Rajam.Swami wasn't known to be in good books of the teacher at Albert High School (forgot the name think its right) and runs away from it when headmaster attempts to beat him and he is made to join another school (BISHOP HIGH SCHOOL) which makes his life even more miserable.

TAIT
Mani,Rajam and Swami form a cricket team MCC (Malgudi Cricket Club) and the first ball bowled by Swami hits the stumps making Rajam bowled.Hence Swami was nicknamed TAIT after a famous cricketer.
Swami cannot attend practise sessions because of his school work and is forced to cut drill class to attend the cricket sessions.Here again he gets caught by the headmaster who attempts to beat him for which Swami runs away.

Brilliant Magnanimous Splendid Awesome ....sorry am running out of words to describe about MANCHESTER UNITED being crowned the EPL champions the 10th time with a convincing 2-0 win over Wigan at JJB stadium.

It was a evening of dramas on the last day of EPL to decide the champs also the relegated clubs.The evening was started by goal machine Ronaldo scoring a penalty with Wigan attacking initially in the first match.It was marred by incidents which involved Scholes getting booked and found himself lucky not to have been sent off.
Wigan at the beginning were unlucky in not getting a penalty for a handball from Rio Ferdinand in goal area.
In the 2nd half,Scholes was replaced by Owen Haergreaves and JS Park by Giggs who equalled the record for most appearances for Manchester United set by Sir Bobby Charlton.It was perfect day for Giggs as he scored his 4th goal of this season and first in 2008 to fade any hope that Chelsea had on the title .It was then sealed and the MAN U fans had to just for the final whistle to complete the formalities.

FULHAM escaped relegation while Reading were unfortunate to have suffered relegation.

ALL ROADS NOW LEAD TO MOSCOW.

Chennai Super Kings are back to their winning ways after defeating Daredevils in a thrilling run chase which went on till the last ball in Feroz Shah Kotla ground in Delhi.

After a dismal performance in 3 consecutive matches it was time that this team meant business.There were as many as 4 changes made to the team that lost the last match to the Deccan Chargers with M Ntni,A Srikkanth,P Patel and J Sharma giving way to L Balaji,P Amarnath, V Sivaramkrishnan and Sri Lankan C Kapukedgra

Dhoni as usual won the toss but opted to chase on a flat track conducive for stroke play.Daredevils were off to a flyer but a timely yorker from Goni saved the day for CSK with Sehwag's framework shattered.A B De Villere's was out the first ball from a peach of a ball by A Morkel.S Dhawan and G Gambhir had a great stand which enabled DD to a score of 187.

CSK's innings began with a flourishing pull shot from Vidyut off Mcgrath and went on and on.It was the 50+ stand for the opening pair after the departure of M Hayden.Dhoni came one down and stayed till the 18th over and displayed maturity in his batting.However,Raina didn't last long and was followed a cheap dismissial of S Fleming who was the innings top scorer with 44.A Morkel provided the fireworks lighting up the sky with some breathtaking shots which enabled CSK to stay on course.However,Yo Mahesh turned around the tide after taking 2 wickets in the penultimate over and conceding just 9 runs.Now 15 runs was required of the last over with S Badrinath and Goni batting.Pakistan skipper S Malik was given the task of containing them.Here's the ball by ball analysis of the last over.

Great News for all Manu fans!!!

ManU are marching to the title with a scintillating performance by beating WHU at Old Trafford.After the mid week win over Barca,Manu proved it was no fluke with another great performance.Ronaldo scored twice for another cool performance.
Tevez scored a scorcher from nowhere to stun his former teamates.At the other a perfect demonstrated bicycle kick gave WHU a consolation.The proceedings were finished by Micheal Carrick who hit a goal although it was from a deflection from West Ham defender.

The upbeat mood was spoiled by an incident where Nani was sent off following a head butt.It was very unethical of Nani to have done such a thing and getting a 1 match ban ruling him out of the Wigan fixture.


All eyes now on Newcastle-Chelsea fixture on Monday.

After I posted about Sumo Grande, I was thinking about what car to write about.There are'nt much new cars which have been launched here.Suzuki Dzire the new sedan launched is noting a boot added to the Swift, hatchback which gave Maruti a new face.

The DZire uses the same 1.3-liter gas and diesel engines as the standard Swift.The diesel egnine though is from Fiat sourced 1.3L Multijet engine while the petrol will be the same that powers the Swift.

It has dual front airbags,collapsible steering columns,ABS as safety features with beige interiors which comes with a stereo-mounted audio controls,automatic climate controls and tilt steering.
The exteriors are almost the same as that of Swift.In Dzire it has power windows on all doors as standard.
