Berba weaves his magic
Berbartov seemed to have justified his position in the Manu lineup and confidence in the hearts of Manu fans by scoring a brace in the 2nd match of the Champions League qualifiers during the second half which saw ManU racing past the Scottish opponents 3-0.
After the frustrating draw at home in the opening match for the reigning European Champs against Spain’s Villareal, ManU needed to have full points to keep their morale up. With a 2-0 win earlier in the weekend against Bolton Wanderers, ManU seemed to upped their ante and are well on course to emulate last year’s success and maybe go further to win a treble which was what achieved in 1999.
However, Scholes injury on the 16th minute due to a reckless tackle from Aarborgh skipper makes him a face a layoff of close to 2 months. With Carrick and Haergreaves already facing sidelines this comes as a blow to ManU. But with Ron, Giggs, Nani, Fletcher, Anderson and Park there seems to be a lot of backup.
Wes Brown is yet to play a game after the own goal saga and seems to be seen whether he would be in the first team for the match this weekend replacing veteran skipper Gary Neville who would be playing only one match per weekend.
