The most anticipated event of the year is concluding today with a show which is expected to be as amazing as the opening ceremony which was a watched by a record audience.All the world records have been broken and there were lesser doping charges and the support from Chinese were simply superb. Some of the amazing moments of the Olympics are the :
Micheal Phelps record of 8 golds in swimming of which he won 7 golds in world record timings and the other one was a Olympic record.He was clearly unbeatable except for 100m butterfly were he had tough competition and could just barely scrap through.
Utsan Bolt's quests in athletics (track events) was extraordinary considering 3 world records he set for 100m, 200m and 4*100m relay.He started 100m quite slowly but then breezed past opponents setting up a world record timing erasing the previous best by Johnson by .03 seconds.In the 200m dash he was quite solid and nothing could have been done to beat this guy for there was yawning gap between him and the rest.In the relay Jamaica easily coasted to victory with Bolt running on the 3rd change with Asafa Powell completing the race in another world record timing.
Isabenya set another WR in pole vault with clearance of 5.05m passing her own earlier record attempt of 4.95m.
Abhinav Bindra won India's first gold in 10m air rifle while Sushil Kumar in wrestling and Vijender Singh in boxing won bronze for India to finish with 3 medals for India
